In our Hindu Dharma festival of Navrati is considered very significant. It is dedicated to the Durga Maa. It is done for pressing her. If you also want to please goddess Durga then you can recite Durga Shaptshati in Navratri. This is one of the most important Holy scripture is our Hindu Dharma.

Durga Saptashati is a Granth. There are 700 verses in this Granth and it is divided into 3 parts. In the Markandeya Purana, Brahma Ji himself has said that every person should recite Durga Saptashati.

By reciting this Durga Saptashati every wish gets fulfilled. Therefore if the seeker wants to fulfil any particular wish, then it can be recited. But the reciting must be done with full dedication. The recitation of Durga Saptashati is considered very miraculous.


The remembrance of Maa Durga on the occasion of the Navratri festival is considered very virtuous. In whatever form that remembrance is done. In such a situation, many people are willing to recite Durga Saptashati during this festival. Because without the recitation of Durga Saptashati, the worship of the Maa Durga is considered incomplete.

This Durga Saptashati is for the protection of mankind and the person who recites it enjoy the happiness in the world and after completing their life goes to Baikunth at the last times.

According to Rigveda, Maa Durga is the form of Shakti and she is the one who runs this world. Therefore their devotees should recite Durga Saptashati along with worshipping her nine forms during Navratri to please Goddess Durga.


Durga Saptashati is also called Chandi Path. When Lord Rama was going to take back Goddess Sita from Lanka, he first recited Chandi. He did this recitation during Shardiya Navratri, so if you recite Durga Saptashati during Shardiya Navratri, it gives special results.

It is said that the recitation of Durga Saptashati is the only solution to many troubles of life. Its properly recitation leads to freedom from mental suffering and victory again enemies.
