Parivartani Ekadashi Vrat Katha PDF

Parivartani Ekadashi falls on the Ekadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Parivartani Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Parivartani Ekadashi is also called Paashrav Ekadashi, Padma Ekadashi and Vamana Ekadashi. Lord Vamana is a form of Lord Vishnu who is worshipped on this day. On the Parivartani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu changes his side during the Yoga Nidra, therefore it is called Parivartani Ekadashi. The period of the yoga Nidra of Lord Vishnu is four months, which is called Chaturmas. Vamana avatar of Lord Vishnu is worshipped along with fasting on the day of Parivartani Ekadashi. Then at the time of worship, one hears the story of Parivartani Ekadashi fast. By listening to the fast story, the fast is completed and it gives the desired result to the devotee.

Once Yudhishthira had a wish to know about Parivartani Ekadashi Vrat from Lord Krishna. Then Shri Krishna told Yudhishthira about Parivartani Ekadashi. He said that in Tretayuga, Daityaraj Bali was an exclusive devotee of Lord Vishnu. Indra and the gods were frightened by his might. He was in control of Indralok. Fearing his fear, all the gods went to Lord Vishnu.


All the deities, including Indra, prayed to Lord Vishnu to get rid of the fear of the demon King Bali. Then Lord Vishnu took his Vamana avatar. After that, he went to the demon king Bali and asked him for three steps of land in charity. Bali promised to give three steps of land to Vamana Dev.

Then Vamana Dev assumed his formidable form. After that measured heaven in one step and earth in the other step. Then he asked Bali where to keep his third step. Then he said, O Lord! Put the third step on his head. Saying this he bowed his head before the Lord.

After this Prabhu Vamana placed his third step on his head. Pleased with his devotion, Lord Vishnu sent him to Patal Lok. In this way, the purpose of the Vamana avatar of Lord Vishnu was fulfilled and the deities got freedom from the fear and terror of King Bali.

Shri Krishna told Yudhishthira that those who observe this fast on Parivartani Ekadashi and worshipping Lord Vishnu, get freedom from all sins.

To easily please Lord Vishnu you can also observe the Parivartani Ekadashi Vrat. This is a very beneficial and fruitful Vrat for people. It is considered very important to read the Vrat Katha with during observing this fast for unexpected results. It is said that if you observing this fast in a proper manner then you will get freedom from many types of family conflicts.
